1. Mainstream channel prices (general goods, double clearance tax included/door-to-door, excluding remote/special goods surcharges)
table
Channel Timeliness (working days) Price range (yuan/kg) Remarks
Sea Express (most commonly used) 7–12 days 6.5–9 More cost-effective starting from 5kg, delivery fee is often free for orders above 10kg
Shipping (large items) 15–25 days 3–7 Whichever is larger based on volume/weight, furniture/home appliances preferred
Air freight (urgent) 3–5 days 24–30 High first weight, suitable for small items/high value
International Express (DHL/SF Express) 2–4 days First weight 150–250/0.5kg, additional weight 50–150 Fastest but most expensive
2. Volumetric weight charging rules (must read, determines the final shipping fee)
Formula: Volume weight (kg) = length × width × height (cm) ÷ 6000
Billing: actual weight vs volumetric weight, whichever is greater will be charged
Example: 50×40×30cm, actual weight 8kg → volumetric weight = 10kg → billed as 10kg
3. Common surcharges (ask in advance to avoid hidden consumption)
Remote surcharge: Kinmen/Matsu/Penghu/Green Island, etc., +100–200 yuan/ticket
Extra long and overweight: single side length > 3m or > 70kg, +30–350 yuan/piece
Special goods/sensitive goods (charged/liquids/food/cosmetics): sea express + 2–4 yuan/kg, air freight + 5–10 yuan/kg
Insurance premium: 1%–3% of the insured amount (if the insurance is 1,000 yuan, the premium is 10–30 yuan)
Reinforcement/wooden frame: +50–200 yuan/box (recommended for fragile items)
4. Price reference (according to weight range, Haiku Express general cargo)
1–5kg: about 45–60 yuan/ticket (one price, including delivery)
5–10kg: about 7–8 yuan/kg
Above 10kg: about 6.5–7.5 yuan/kg (delivery fee is often waived)
5. Tips to save money
Try to put together an order of more than 10kg, the unit price is the lowest and the delivery fee is free
Take the initiative to remove outer cartons, streamline packaging, and reduce volume and weight.
For goods that are not urgent, choose sea freight, which is the most cost-effective; for large and heavy items, choose sea freight.
Avoid low-price “gray tax-packaged” channels and give priority to service providers with sunshine customs clearance and transparent quotations.
